I'm putting up my GTi for auction here since I bought a truck for work and can only keep one vehicle. This is a first owner, non-smoker vehicle.Here's the 2017 Car and Driver review of the manual transmission to get an overview:https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15096088/2017-volkswagen-golf-gti-tested-review/MechanicalGreat performance car, it's my fourth GTi (mk3, mk4, mk5 and this mk7) and it's easily the most refined of them all. The SE trim level also includes the Performance Package, so it's good for 220 hp and 258 lb/ft torque, has the electronic differential, and the big brakes from the Golf R. It also has the lighting package, which tracks the bi-xenon headlights to steering inputs. It's great on mountain roads at night.This one has never been tracked or raced, driven responsibly, ie I'm old. The only modification is the new wheels and tires that I had mounted in May 2019. The tires are Continental Extreme Contact DWS 225 40ZR18s on Monte Titano 18x8 alloy wheels in titanium grey, purchased and mounted at Tirerack. The car also comes with the original wheels/tires included. The Continental's are great tires, way better than the OEM, and the car's handling is super sharp, really amazing turn in. Mileage is 34 mpg freeway, city is around 24 mpg in my experience.ExteriorI'll describe the exterior conditions clearly: The vehicle has never been in an accident, but there are some incidental scratches that I have left to the next owner to repair as they see fit. I've pictured each of these in the photo set here— a 3 inch scratch on the rear bumper passenger side that goes down to the black plastic, a point indent that spider-webbed the paint on the rear bumper driver's side, and a light dent/scratch on the rear hatch which is pretty hard to see. There is also a small dent near the passenger side door handle that scratched the paint down to the white, this would be good to get fixed soon, but sheetmetal is not exposed. There are other small nicks and scratches on the front and rear bumpers—parking in Brooklyn really sucks.The sunroof is great, but I didn't really use it but a few times. Glass is in great shape all around. Other than the bumper notes above, paint is in good shape.InteriorThe leather interior holds up really well I have to say. The seats are in good form, not showing any deformations and the padding has good support. There are seat heaters in the front. I switched out the OE floormats for the thicker and more resilient Mojomats—if you like red piping and stitching this is the car for you. The entertainment unit supports Apple CarPlay connected through USB, which is nice. This car has the upgraded Fender audio system with the sub-woofer. Sounds great, annoys neighbors adequately. Records and WarrantiesThe 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper ran out this month. The car never had any dealer repairs or manufacturer recalls, but VW dealer did the 10k, 20k, 30k service. I have the receipts for those, plus interim oil changes as well. I bought a VW maintenance contract on this car, which is transferrable, which would be good for scheduled maintenance through 60k miles. The Volkswagen 10 year/100k drivetrain warranty is also transferrable.
